Christ-CAN Ministry Network      Activity Report - December 2008

With the unemployment rate and the economy, changes have been made to procedures in order to better manage the influx of people seeking our assistance.  Our hours have changed as well because of limited funds and the increased demand.  Our hours are now Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Each Monday, all calls are screened for appointments for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

*131 - calls / visits (recorded).  Each are offered Jesus and prayer

* 34 money vouchers given totalling $32,04.79 for medicine, kerosene, gas, utilities, rent, furniture and food cards

*3 "Special Crisis Situation Needs" - received $1,171.17 in special crisis funds from donors

*Clients are referred to Salvation Army Store to assist 'Burned Out' or Domestic Violence clients

*Christmas Food Baskets were given to 30 clients by Englewood Presbyterian Church

*In addition to offering daily needs, Christ-CAN volunteers are trained to help with Spiritual needs such as prayer, Biblical council and presentation of the Gospel as well as assistance in Lifeskills, Mentoring, Transportation and help with finding housing
